i found this story some time ago from a blog. i do find this rather meaningful and i would like to share it with all of you.
adapted from somewhere:
"I read the article and it was about a little 3 year old girl who could not feel pain. Something to do with her nerves and her nervous system...a very rare disorder. She honestly feels nothing..no pain no nothing. So because of this she would do things and not realize that it hurt her. Her parents would walk into the room when she was a little younger..not yet a toddler and see that she had chewed on her hand with her little teeth so much that they were bloody and raw..but she didnt know it hurt so didnt stop. She has had to have her eyes sewn shut and not be able to see because of the fact that she would scratch at her eyes to the point of harm and infection. This did not work because she would just rip out her own stitches and further harm herself. She is due to go back to the hospital soon to get one of her eyes removed completely because it is just scratched and gouged and harmed beyond repair. "
sometimes, i just wonder why do i have the sense of pain and i wished to get rid of it. somehow, after reading this story, i felt lost. both ways are not good. is this a blessing or vice versa?
